  • Land Register title Scotland

We can provide a copy of the Land Register title for properties (where registered). The Land Register title is the replacement system of registration for properties that may have previously been recorded to the Register of Sasines. The format of Land Register title is laid out in a more modern and logical format with a text description and title plan and encompasses guarantees by the State as to the accuracy of the title. Reference is made to relevant information recorded previously in the Sasines together with a note of any earlier Sasine title

  • 8/. Scottish Land Register or Sasines Register. Which should I choose? - The Scottish Land Register is the system of registration in Scotland that has replaced the Sasines Register. It provides a current account of ownership together with a property description, burdens, charges and plan. The Sasine Register (which is still current when a property has not transferred to the Land Register, applicable in many cases) provides an account of ownership from the first ownership through to current together with a referencing of every transaction that has taken place on the property (up to the point it transferred to the Land Register of which many thousands of properties have yet to do). The Sasines is a useful genealogy tool or property history account. The documents highlighted and referenced by the Sasines can also be obtained for a small additional fee per document. Discuss you requirements with a Researcher.
